“The gods shone on the bike strike brigade again this week, and kept the rain clouds away for Wednesday’s epic ride. We visited libraries, community centres, a golf course, an animal rescue centre, a works yard, two outdoor and one indoor swimming pool, a garden, a nursery, and Parks Board HQ. And this time we brought candy. Thanks to Joe Fortes for providing coffee and biscuits, and Kerrisdale for letting us, once again, crash their Wednesday lunch. All in all, a grand day, despite some bicycle and rider problems (and one particularly eye-watering injury). On Tuesday, we visited Our Community Bikes, where we pumped tires, oiled chains and gave our bicycles some much needed TLC. We then went to Kitsilano, where the fabulous folks there outdid themselves with the already legendary Mexican-themed lunch.
