Thank you, CUPE 391. We are so proud of how you came together as a community to vote for a Vancouver that includes everyone. Inder and I were getting the vote out in Kensington and Todd was in Oppenheimer Park (as were many of our members). In between knocking on doors we phoned CUPE 391 members. Everyone was voting, had voted or was going to vote. Our families and friends voted. One CUPE 391 member confessed that she was only seventeen and could not vote yet, but she assured me that her family had gone to the polls.
Today Vancouverites showed that we care. Everyone in our city counts. The future is now full of hope and opportunity.
