Vancouver Crossroads Conference

A message from you CUPE 391 Political Action Committee:

Do you think the city could be run better?
Do you want to help develop solutions?
Do you want to directly influence those running for City Hall?

Please attend the Crossroads Conference being held on Friday May 4th and Saturday May 5th!

This conference, hosted and organized by Canadian Union of Public Employees BC, Organize BC, and Vancouver & District Labour Council, will bring together progressive voices to highlight the issues and solutions most important to the citizens of Vancouver.

Friday evening will feature a panel discussion moderated by former Deputy Leader of the federal NDP Libby Davies that will contextualize the environmental, economic, and social challenges facing Vancouver. This event will be held in the omnimax theatre at Science World.

Saturday will bring together unions, political parties, and community groups to develop progressive solutions and strategize methods of implementation. This event will be held at the Croatian Cultural Centre.

As union members and as City of Vancouver employees, the upcoming election is critically important so we are asking our membership to attend this event and make our voices heard!

The event costs $50 which breaks down to $10 for the Friday and $40 for the Saturday. On Saturday there will be child care and lunch provided. Organizers are committed, however, to not making cost a barrier and there are some spaces for individuals unable to cover the ticket price.
