some meaningful negotiations. Today we returned to the bargaining table. After a short caucus in the morning, the Bargaining Committee started the session by tabling an amended package of proposals featuring local key issues like pay equity, job security, improved benefits, and improvements for part-time and auxiliary workers.
We appreciate that the Employer seems to want to talk to us, and we sincerely encourage them to continue to do so.
The Employer will be responding to us on Thursday, August 9. Needless to say, we are very angry that we are being forced to wait for a response for over a week while on strike.
In the meantime, the Bargaining Committee will be meeting to strategize.
Stay strong! More information will be posted as it becomes available. Thank you for all your support.
