The union would like to remind all our members that anyone needing to deal with Human Resources on any subject, such as a leave of absence, maternity leave, etc., should also speak with your union. This is something we would advise even when we are not in a dispute with our employer as we always want to ensure that there is due diligence when dealing with these matters, and that you as an individual member are appropriately represented.
