Earlier today, at about 5.30 p.pm., the Vancouver City Council voted to restore funding ($165,000) to Marpole, Firehall, Kerrisdale, West Point Grey and Dunbar for a total increase of $.8 million over the 2010 restated budget. Good news for our library patrons who suffered through morning and evening closures and good news for our library workers who lost hours. There are no more loyal supporters and users of public service than library patrons. You are a wonderful lot and we love you. Blessings and good wishes to all our diverse communities.
