CUPE 391 supports the United Way 2013 campaign to raise funds for a variety of charitable causes in the community.
The Vancouver Public Library Workers are currently leading the City in the pledge participation rate of giving to the United Way.
As of Friday, Oct 25th, Vancouver Public Library Workers have a participation rate of 12.7% – first place so far in the City. The next highest donor organization is at about 10%.
Furthermore, the Vancouver Public Library workers have raised so far approximately $21, 835 dollars – Wow!
Yet our Local will be submitting a gift basket for the online auction to raise even more badly needed funds for the community.
I encourage as many of you as possible to pledge, bid and do whatever it takes to help the United Way help those facing a variety of challenges.
CUPE 391 stands behind all the efforts of so many to help those who need it most.
