2010 Pride Parade: Sunday, August 1st

Vancouver Pride Parade is almost here!!  CUPE 391 members are welcome to again join the Multi Union Pride group as they walk through the streets of the Westend celebrating all things Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Queer and gosh darn everything simply fantastic. The Parade is Sunday August 1 beginning at noon, though marchers and spectators will want to arrive earlier to be part of the giant street party environment that the day always brings. The route goes from Robson and Thurlow to Denman Street to Pacific, and finishes at Sunset Beach Festival Site.

Where will Multi Union Pride be meeting on parade date?

Multi Union Pride is meeting at site A S 5.  This is the south side of Robson Street between Bute and Thurlow.  The float will be set up from 9:45am.  All marchers need to arrive between 11 and 11:30.  The parade starts at noon sharp and runs for several hours.

Our entry is in the first fifth of the parade line up so important to arrive on time. Do wear good shoes as the route is quite long. And do bring sunscreen, hat and water to beat the heat.

Float? T-Shirts? Swag?

YES! YES! YES!  A great float showing how unions help to liberate (the theme of this years parade).  Great T-Shirts when you arrive to join the marchers.  And always great swag to give to the hundreds of thousands who line the streets.
