WWF’s Earth Hour March 31st, 2012

Also from FitCity’s March 2012 newsletter…
Uniting people to protect the planet
There are many things that divide people: gender, nationality, race, political and religious beliefs to name a few. But when it comes to fighting climate change, it doesn’t matter who we are or where we’re from – we’re all on the same team.

That’s important because to tackle an issue as big as climate change, the planet needs us all.

There’s more to WWF’s Earth Hour than switching off lights for one hour once a year. It’s about giving people a voice and working together to create a better future for our planet. More than 5,200 cities and towns in 135 countries worldwide switched off their lights for Earth Hour 2011 alone, sending a powerful message for action on
climate change.

Hundreds of millions of people, businesses and governments around the world will unite for Earth Hour. Plan to turn out your lights on Saturday March 31 between 8:30pm – 9:30pm.
