Hardship committee update

The hardship committee thanks members for their ongoing support. Our members and the public have generously given food vouchers and monetary donations to the hardship fund. We are continuing to accept monetary donations or food vouchers and we are also accepting fare saver booklets for members’ transportation needs. Donation jars can be found at all strike locations, the union office and strike headquarters.

A special thank you to members who have been fundraising for the hardship fund through a variety of efforts, including the quilt and wine raffle, the knitters, the sale of CDs and the ratification date pool. Please continue submitting your wonderful ideas for fundraising through the suggestion boxes at each picket location.

Strike loan application forms are available at all picket locations, the union office, online or by asking a member of the hardship committee. Completed forms may be dropped with a picket captain or member of the committee. Letter to creditors for deferred payments requests are available online or from a member of the hardship committee. Thank you again for your solidarity with members in need.
