CUPE BC will again be participating in the Pride Parade taking place on Sunday, August 2nd in Vancouver. We have a local company building us a float that will be towed by our truck that normally pulls our Community Events Trailer. Our float will be very colourful based on a beach theme.
CUPE members are invited to join our float and CUPE BC President Mark Hancock and Secretary-Treasurer Paul Faoro at the following location:
North side of Alberni Street between Burrard and Thurlow. Participants should arrive at our float between 12 – 12:15 this Sunday August 2nd.
Other than water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen, participants are encouraged not to bring many personal belongings because you have to carry what you bring.
CUPE BC Pride T-Shirts and swag will be available to participants.
