This morning, three members of the Bargaining Committee and our CUPE National Representative Jim Gorman met with a delegation from the Employer’s negotiation committee for an informal discussion about returning to the bargaining table.
No actual negotiations took place, however both committees were able to reaffirm their positions on pay equity. The Union also reminded the Employer that they owe the Union a response on several other proposals.
Bargaining is currently scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 13 and Friday, Sept. 14. We are happy to be returning to bargaining table and look forward to receiving the Employer’s response to our last proposals. Hopefully, these discussions will finally result in a fair settlement.
