Hi everyone!
We want to say a big THANK YOU to all who participated in the recent Part Time & Auxiliary Zoom Meeting. It was so heartwarming to hear your voices, see your faces, and to be virtually reunited for even that short time. We want to continue to stay in touch and support one another. For those who couldn’t make it, don’t worry! There will be another one soon (date and time TBA). We’ve taken note of the questions that were discussed and forwarded them on to Kari. Many of our questions were answered in the recent FAQ regarding the EOI. If you haven’t taken a look at the FAQ, please do so that you can make an informed decision if you are considering putting your name forward.
Again, we want to thank all who were involved. We are excited to grow solidarity among precarious workers, and we are hoping to build a stronger voice within the union and in the workplace. Part-time and auxiliary workers are valuable to the library, and our unique contributions should be lifted up and appreciated.
